The solutions we supply reduce technical risk, financial risk, and the risk of wasting precious time associated with developing. By making the design cycle shorter and more enjoyable we accelerate developer innovation. Our products include Intellectual Property cores that process protocols at high performance speeds, development boards that allow for flexibility and adaptability, and a next generation open source protocol, i-PCI, which has the potential to completely evolve the way I/O is delivered to the host.
Pcion is a subsidiary of Nuon Labs, an innovation factory fashioned after the labs created by Thomas Edison. Nuon was founded by Professor Joseph Hui and Dr. David Daniel, both affiliated with the Arizona State University. Nuon is a privately held C-Corporation with corporate headquarters and labs located at SkySong in Scottsdale, Arizona of the United States. Many employees in Nuon are graduates of Arizona State University.
Nuon Labs solves technical problems for some of the most urgent issues we face today, such as Cloud Computing, Networking, and Renewable Energy.

PEOPLE
Joseph Hui – PhD, President and Co-Founder
Dr. Hui is a leading authority and recognized pioneer in the field of broadband switching and networking technologies. Dr. Hui is currently a professor at the Fulton School of Engineering at ASU – and holds additional patents in the area of ATM Switching. He is the founder several IT companies, including IXTech, IXSoft, Inc., and most recently, 4Blox, Inc. Dr. Hui received his Bachelors, Masters and PhD from Massachusetts Institute of Technology and has held research and teaching positions at Bellcore, Rutgers University, and the Chinese University of Hong Kong. Dr Hui is also an IEEE Fellow.
David Daniel – PhD, CTO and Co-Founder
David has over 25 years of experience as an engineer and engineering leader in the electronics industry, focusing on data communications and computer bus I/O technologies. David is a co-founder of the Nuon Companies – which includes Pcion Inc., – where he is responsible for overall business execution and technology development. David earned his MSEE from Utah State University and a Ph.D. in EE from Arizona State University. Past positions include Director of Hardware Engineering at Sorenson Vision in Logan, Utah, where David worked on the early development of Universal Serial Bus video conferencing ASICs and peripherals. As Director of Engineering for Mobility Electronics in Scottsdale, Arizona, David helped pioneer the development of PCI bus serialization and computer expansion techniques. David holds extensive IP in the area of I/O technologies and virtualization with over 20 patents filed.
